Home FAQ Questions About Cameras

All reels and cameras are basically interchangeable. However, it can be easily explained that not every combination is ideal. The cameras are of different weights and are used in pipes of varying sizes. The best mixture of thrust and smooth navigation through pipe bends is always wanted. The narrower the pipe and the lighter the camera, the thinner and more flexible the rod should be.

recommendations for the combination of camera and push rod:

DN50 and up
= push rod H-S30 + camera K-35
• DN70 and up in connection with K-35 centering sleeve
• DN100 and up in connection with K-35 centering trolley

DN70 and up = push rod H-M50 + camera K-50
• DN100 and up in connection with K-50 centering sleeve

DN100 and up = push rod H-L60 + cameras K-70 or K-70L
• DN150 and up in connection with K-70/K-70L centering trolley
• DN200 and up in connection with K-70/K-70L centering trolley with additional lighting

DN100 and up = push rod H-XL75 + CamFlex® or push rod H-XXL100 + CamFlex®

Readings are accurate to approx. 2-3 mm.

You can use the cameras up to a depth of 10 m, i.e. up to an external pressure of 1 bar. The pan and tilt cameras K-70 and K-70L must be filled with an internal pressure of 1 bar.

Via their internal pressure. The internal pressure can be adjusted with an air pump and monitored using the display on the base unit's screen.

The camera K-50, as opposed to the K-35, features a self-leveling mechanism and aperture control.

While both cameras are identical in construction, the K-70L also features laser diodes, which are utilized to measure the pipe diameter.

If the CamFlex® is connected to the CamMobile® Profi 3, two buttons for adjusting the white balance appear in the camera tab – buttons „M“ and „A“. By default, the CamFlex® is set to automatically adjust the white balance.

When surveying colored pipes, color deviations may occur in recordings. By manually adjusting the white balance, the ambient colors are supposed to appear correct. By simply aiming the camera at a white background, its color value is being frozen. For instance, hold a white piece of paper in front of the camera and then, push the button „M“. It is important that no other light source shines onto the background and distorts the color values.

When the white balance is being adjusted automatically, color values of the current environment are being used.
