Your USB thumb drive might use the FAT32 file system. Follow these instructions to reformat the USB thumb drive to the file system NTFS.

The designation "rod" stands for the flexible push rod. It is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic and contains the wires for the electric current, image and camera control.

The "reel" consists of the mounting mechanism and a cage-like frame, which houses the wound-up rod. It features the electronics for the meter count, the connecting plug to the base unit, the tubular for the camera as well as the reel lock and the freewheel brake.

As the meter count constitutes a combination of mathematical and electronic solutions, it must be adjusted anew after altering the length of the rod.

When a rod has broken, the first 10 m of the rod are almost always cut off, as they are subject to the highest wear. Otherwise, the rod would most likely break again soon thereafter.

The reel is to be cleaned with a moist cloth only! Never clean the reel with a high-pressure washer as its electronic components are likely to be damaged.
