Although hard to tell from the outside, a lot of changes have been made inside the device. Some functions, which before have been controlled via sensitive hardware, can now be performed by the software. The device contains a battery pack with an operation time of 2 hours, so shutting down the device when moving it to another pipe is no longer necessary. Also, a battery pack offering power supply for 5 hours can be obtained optionally. The software can3D® facilitates an easier operation of the CamFlex® when taking measurements, and the results can be immediately viewed in a pipe plan generated in real-time.
The first training lasts approx. half a day. We recommend additional training a few weeks later in order to improve and freshen up on what you have learned, as well as clarify possible questions or insecurities having emerged while working with the equipment.
Compared to a conventional TV inspection, only a minimum of additional work is required. Once you are somewhat experienced in the use of CamFlex®, the process of recording measurements and navigating into a branch takes about 30 seconds (incl. data entry).
Our videos are being encoded and recorded in MPEG-2 format. This widely-used format is being supported by any conventional software. There are many different formats for MPEG-4 videos, which are not interoperable. The data volume of MPEG-4 videos in DVD quality is only marginally smaller compared to MPEG-2 videos, and can be disregarded in terms of more and more affordable storage media. One minute of MPEG-2 video requires about 40MB storage space. Approx. 800 hours of MPEG-2 video can be saved to a 2TB hard drive (available for approx. 80 €). Therefore, the storage space for one hour of MPEG-2 video costs just 0.10 €.
Naturely, you can just navigate into a branch, but considering the fact how little time recording measurements takes and which conclusive results can thus be achieved, it is more reasonable to always record the measurements.
Yes, all of our cameras and reels are interchangeable, thus enabling you to expand your system bit by bit. Even the add-on module for the 3D-view can be obtained subsequently and will then be unlocked via a code.
The Profi should never be operated with an emergency power generator without an overvoltage protection. Otherwise, damage to electronic components may occur.
Yes, an external video image (composite video signal) can be fed in via the Profi's 7-pin socket.>
If the error message "No video" appears when trying to export a project, your project contains an inspection that no video has been generated for (no observations have been entered). This inspection must be deleted before exporting anew.
If the tablet pen shows no function, try out another pen.
Cover the device in rain as water penetrating the pen creates a water film and impairs the tablets operation.
The CamMobile® Profi 3 can record videos in three different quality classifications. The respective selection is made when creating a new project. As a general rule: A higher bit rate makes for a better image quality, a lower one for a smaller file size.
Low quality features a bite rate between 3000 and 5500 bit/s, medium quality a rate between 6000 and 9500 bit/s and high quality a rate between 9000 and 13500 bit/s.>

The subsequent text overlay is directly related to the quality the video is being recorded in.
Medium and high video quality allow for subsequent text overlay. However, this option must be checked. If low video quality is being selected, the option for subsequent text overlay is not available.
