Crawler, crawlers everywhere

Yet another prosperous IFAT trade fair has been concluded with successful numbers once again: 3,081 exhibitors from 59 nations on 230,000 square meters of fair grounds, more than 135,000 visitors with approximately 60,000 of them, almost 45 percent, coming from abroad!

So it is no surprise that international guests on the Kummert fair stand made up a large share of the audience. Luckily, the sales team received active support by a great number of Kummert sales partners, who came to IFAT from all over the world. They took the opportunity to intensify existing relations, as well as make new and important contacts at the same time.

The small crawler F-100 was showcased as a new product. Optimally suited for sewer inspections conducted with the base unit Profi 3, the crawler is used to survey pipe dimensions from DN100 to DN300. The F-100 fits perfectly into the Kummert product family: Developed as just a chassis, the crawler is fitted with either the pan and tilt camera K-70F (no laser) or K-70FL (with laser for measuring the nominal pipe diameter). The camera features a removable end piece, which is not needed for use with the crawler. When the end piece is attached, the K-70F/K-70FL is a push camera for the inspection of pipe sizes from DN100 to DN200. If used with a centering aid, the camera can inspect pipes up to DN300.

Being an already established product, the crawler F-200 still cut a fine figure on the fair stand. Particularly the presentation of both crawler models with numerous wheel sets was well received by fair visitors. Many of them did not immediately notice that the exhibits were only two different crawlers equipped for multiple pipe dimensions by means of wheel spacers, various wheels and additional lighting. They were pleasantly surprised once this fact was relayed to them.

At this year’s IFAT, Kummert GmbH definitely presented itself as a manufacturer for both push inspection systems and crawler systems for the mobile sewer assessment and the inspection by CCTV vehicles. And the trade fair showed once more that customers appreciate this. Especially outside of Germany, the company is more and more being regarded as an alternative on the market, offering many positive chances for the future.
